Where to Donate

We are happy to accept donations from visitors traveling to the North Coast of the Dominican Republic (Puerto Plata, Sosua, Cabarete, Santiago.) Donations can be dropped off at our learning center in Jamao al Norte.  Or, contact us at 1 (849) 915-1581 and we will pick up the donation at your resort.

Restrictions

Educational supplies are our greatest need, but we will accept household goods, toys, clothing, and shoes that are in good condition and can be placed in out Jamao Donation Center.

Please DO NOT donate the following:

  • Books in Spanish above a 5th grade reading level
  • Books in English above a 2nd grade reading level
  • Damaged or unusable markers, crayons, or pencils
  • Candy

Donation Practices to Avoid

Random gift giving to children you do not personally know: This can foster an unhealthy dependency of foreign visitors. We do not want our children to accept gifts from strangers and to come to expect and demand these gifts.
